General terms used in histopathology lab:
1-histolgy:
study of the structures & functions of the tissues in their normal state.
2-cytology:
study of the structure and ffunction of the cells.
3-pathology:
is sciences study of diseaes by use of scientific methodolgies (histopatholgy, cytology, hematology, immunology, parasitology, clinical chemistry, medical microbiology...)
4-histopathology:
branch of pathology study of tissue affected by diseases
5-cytopathology:
study of diseased of cells
6-cytogenetic:
study of the human genome (chromosme &DNA)
7-insituhyperdization and DNA technology:
production of complete DNA from piece of RNA or DNA prime (used for DNA repair insertion of new well functioning DNA instead of diseased one , converssion of E coli into E coli producing insulin)
8-mollecular techniques & cell biology:
study of cellular mollecules (strucure of DNA, RNA, Amino Acid ....)
9-immunohistochemistry:
study of the tissue markers by use of the Antigen Antibody reaction (CEA Carcino-Emberionic Antigen)
10- enzyme histochemistry:
study of the tissue enzyme (Acid and Alkaline phosphatase)
